I put fanny on chair until some words got typed.

This current story is a weird one. It's got a really simple premise, but as I started working on it in my two-hour fits and starts I started dressing it up. My writing style is usually one of those "no-style" styles—kinda like the "no-shadow" kicks of Wong Fei Hung, I like to think—but this has style out the wazoo. For me, anyway. I wonder why the heck I picked this one to try something so radically different, when I don't have enough time to just write a damned story.

Though I'm kinda having fun with it. When I'm not wishing I was a better writer so I could do it justice, that is. Do these writerly hang-ups ever completely go away?

I can tell you what was nice today—not doing any homework and refusing to feel guilty about it. Yesterday was a physics test, and I'll do the math homework tomorrow. I should read the next chapter in physics (the photoelectric effect, aka Einstein did it to himself so he should have just stopped bitching) but that can wait.

Meanwhile, wrote a whole scene. Yay, me!
