So I've just spent almost a C-note on tickets for myself and Mrs The Fyd to see The Pixies in May. On one hand it's a band that I'll kick myself if I never see them live. On the other hand, how much of my money does Frank Black really need? On the gryffing hand, the show is the night before we go to the coast for a long weekend, which is convenient. We each already have the next day off work, and we won't be leaving until later in the day. Boris the Dog-faced Boy will be joining us; his first foray to the beach. I'm sure he will frolic.

And in June we have tickets to see Sleater-Kinney. Those tickets did not cost almost five double-sawbucks in aggregate.
