Last night Mrs The Fyd and I did witness the rock. Weezer and the Foo Fighters hit town on their tour. The Weezer set was excellent; as the tee-shirt Mrs The Fyd got at the merchandise stall said, the band has been "Rockin' the Bitches Since 1994". And they showed that experience. One of the best shows I've experienced.

We did not stay for the Foo Fighters. We are old and didn't want to stay out so late, plus the pups would miss us. Anyway I only cared about the Weez, and Mrs The Fyd and I weren't sure we could even name a FF song. Not that they mightn't be worthy of all the acclaim.

Speaking of acclaim, a story of mine was a "definite favorite" to be purchased by a magazine whose prior issues had featured some very good writing. Plus they paid. Unfortunately they decided to shut down the mag, so that story is now released, and on to the next editor for perusal.

I have the day off. The dogs are sleeping. I am going to start vacuuming in a few minutes; they will no longer be sleeping.
