Wordcount thus far, Day 4: 5,790

To anyone paying attenion (unlikely at this stage), they may notice that my wordcount has fallen short for what would be day 4's quota. Simply put, there was no Day 3 production. Not a very auspicious happening. Truth is (excuses revving up) was that this past Tuesday was the first time I'd been able to attend a Tuesday-night Irish music session at Patrick's Pub in a number of months. Wasn't no way I was going to miss that.

Usually I leave at 10, that night I stuck around until 11 enjoying the tunes, getting to play a few of my own, and generally having a lot of fun. I'm getting perceptually better at the banjo. It seems I can still play in groups. (But do I play nicely?. That's a matter of opinion.

By the time I got home, thought, 'twas exhausted. I thought about staying up longer to write, truly and really, but alas, it wasn't in me.
So why not write your quota before you left for the session?

I'm still getting used to this new schedule. I needed a nap. An old friend came in from out of town. Earthquakes. Tidal waves...
Locusts!!!

Yess... Locusts!

Anyway, excuses done with. I wrote last night, and am glad, in a way, that I took that day because my main character changed somewhat unexpectedly to from a too typical and unoriginal white-guy law-enforcement-related sort of (yawn) hero to a more interesting half-Mexican half-Spanish brawler.

It'll be interesting to see where this goes.

As for my quota, I'll pull a double on Saturday and get caught up. Ne'er fear.

Today's link goes to The Official Venture Brothers Website, easily my favorite show on Adult Swim. It joins Family Guy and Futurama as far as favorite animated shows go. Check it out, why doncha, and if you're not a fan, then to quote Yoda--
Warning, Geek Mode hitting critical levels...
