Link o' the Day: Container Gardening

Wow. Where did the time go? One minute it's 10 in the morning, and now it's around 1:30.

That's how busy the workday has been so far. Actually, that's not a bad thing. Fridays often draaaaaag when I'm at work and I get extra-anxious to bolt out yon doorway. Today, actually, it wouldn't be a tragedy to work a little late to make sure everything is done but you know...

Friday.

Zoom!

A full weekend. Pretty Maggie and I have a function to go to on Saturday, and I'm going to go visit my dad on Sunday. Around that I need to get some more work done on the Zorro collectibles book, discuss some anthology stuff with a publisher, put the finishing touches on this month's medical journal, and continue with Operation Clean Office.

Relating to that last item, I did a little recon last night and it looks pretty good. I'll be on my hands and knees for a time, but I should manage. My goals are to establish open floor space so there is room to move around (for myself and any technicians that might need to get in), have an orderly place for all my stuff, be a little less likely to lose things in random piles, get my art desk back so I can do some more painting, and I want to consolidate all the cables rinning along the floor (computer, cable, and internet).

Not so unreasonable. I don't expect to have it all done this weekend. I'll need to take care to pace myself a bit better so I don't end up flat on my back for a day or two like this past week. But the overall task isn't quite as overwhelming as it initially looked.

Maybe. Maybe I'll post some pics when I'm done.

Maybe.

I'm hoping we can get to a bookstore this weekend. Maybe even tonight. While the James Blish collection I'm reading right now is pretty good, I've fallen out of the mood for 50s short SF. I'd like to get the next book in that Elizabeth Moon series, and maybe something else. Dunno yet. My moods change like New England weather.

Actually, that last comment was a little unfair. It has been absolutely gorgeous out these past two weeks. I've been too busy to appreciate most of it, but the times I am outside make me miss winter not one whit. Clear blue skies, warm but not hot. Gentle breezes. Ah, spring! We're finally going to get a touch of rain either this weekend or the beginning of next week, but even then I bet it's going to a mild spring shower.

Time to plan the garden for the balcony!

Today's link is on the subject of Container Gardening from the website yourbackyardgarden.com. It's a starting place.

Cheers!
