We received our completed homestudy in the mail today. It was interesting to read about us from a third person's point of view. We were recommended officially by our social worker, with the following words:

EVALUATION AND RECOMMENDATION
Doug and Amy appear to be a stable, mature, and loving couple. They are anxious to parent an adopted child. They appear to be able to provide an adopted child or children with a loving and nurturing environment. They are aware of the difficulties and delays that can be involved in an international adoption.

Child and Parent Services, Inc. recommends that Douglas and Amelia be approved to adopt up to two children, either sex, 0-18 months of age from Russia or another Eastern European country."

Notarized on July 28, 2003.

Yay us! Now we still wait for Immigration and Naturalization to agree. Ah, and the "two children, 0-18 months" is to cover our bases. Just in case. :)

We sent our completed application in to Frank Adoption Center finally last week. Not much more money to dole out until the month or so before adoption. In my opinion, we're halfway there!
