This vent has nothing to do with adoption. For a brief moment, I will let the outside world get to me.

I stumbled across this link while checking my usual websites today. I am so very angry. Anyone who can have an open mind and read, without bigotry, Harry Potter cannot possibly believe he is leading people to believe in Satan.

Harry begins as a middle schooler. He feels out of place, he doesn't belong with his family, and he is bullied and picked on. He discovers, however, that he is "special" - and goes to a school where people are just like him, and he gains a little bit of control over his life. What child doesn't want this to happen to them?

An educated person would realize every spell uttered in the five books are some form of LATIN. And most creatures and "fantastical" references are from mythology of many civilizations.

Themes that run through the book can be summed up in a few of my favorite quotes from the books. friendship... love... Standing up for what's right...
Advice to live by. Yep, these thoughts are going to drive me straight to accepting Satan:

"It is our choices Harry, that show what we truly are, far more than our abilities."
-Dumbledore

"If you want to know what a man's like, take a good look at how he treats his inferiors, not his equals." -Sirius Black

Well, it's a good thing those parishioners in Greenville are burning these books. I wouldn't want my children learning THIS kind of stuff, now, would I?!
