Yesterday a VERY large packet arrived in the mail. It was all the paperwork we will need to fill out to send to Russia. Officially it's called a "dossier"... all the information the Russian government needs to know to allow us to adopt one of their children.

(Obviously, they weren't too worried about me receiving counseling or else we wouldn't have received a dossier, methinks.)

It was quite telling the way Doug and I began sifting through the papers - Doug immediately grabs the financial information, all the copies we have to get, how to get things notarized and apostilled.... I grab the "travel" information, what to pack, what's involved in our trips step by step....

It will take quite awhile to get all this stuff! Copies of the deed to our house, multiple copies of marriage certificate, birth certificates, on and on. I will start posting some interesting tidbits from the packet from time to time as we go through it. Whew!
