-----------------------------------

We put pajamas on Roman on Friday that had fit on Wednesday. They didn't fit anymore. I swear, that boy sprouted at least 2 inches in just a few days!

I tried other clothes on him too, and all the sudden they are getting snug. He has moved quickly into 12 and 18 month sizes (depending on the brand). In fact, the pajamas he wore last night were Baby Gap 18-24 months! Just a little long in the sleeves and legs.

I find it parenting irony that I have a child who throws such great temper tantrums at the age of 10 months. Murphy is laughing somewhere... I have a child who acts just like I did! So we're busy ignoring him when he does it, and when he calms down we go play with him. It works part of the time.

Doug and I planned out where our backyard makeshift patio is going to go last night. We want something easy to do but can be removed if necessary (as in if we ever build a garage or fix the poor drainage). It's going to be close to 13 x 13 when it's all done, I think. I'm leaving it up to Doug as to what materials to make it out of - not brick. That's too much work. Probably a 1x1 or 2x2 slab sort of thing. I like the reddish colors. Now we are debating how best to shade the area, as our backyard faces west and has no trees. So it bakes a good portion of the day.

We want a place where we can play with Roman in the summer; a place to sit and relax while he's in the grass. Not too far from the house, but enough so that if we lay a concrete driveway we can still use it. We left room on either side for a swingset, sandbox, or kiddy pool usage. The plan was to stake it out and start digging this Saturday. Except now Cam (the local weather lady) is saying we have a chance of thunderstorms. Great. :)
