Roman has always babbled "mamamamamama". It has become shorter and shorter, sometimes just a "ma". I have been working every day to make sure I answer him with "yes, Roman?" so he can start to make the connection that I am Mama. It happened today!
I was on the computer finishing up some journaling for my scrapbook. Doug was playing with Roman in the sitting area. Roman said "mama" and I absent-mindedly said, "yes, Roman?" but didn't look at him. I heard another, more persistent "MaMa!" and looked over, to see him craning his neck to look at me with a big smile on his face. Wow! Of course I stopped what I was doing to give him a big hug and kiss!
Now, we work on DaDa!
