First, we have a babysitter lined up for this Friday. It is SO exciting. It is a student of mine, whose parent I am fair acquaintances with. Well, she's not a student anymore. The girl had offered early on but everything we wanted to do, kept coming up on a school night. And weekends we always had plans to go out of town, or people were coming here! So now we plan on a movie this Friday evening. Either "Troy" or "Day After Tomorrow." We decided to wait on "Shrek 2" as it will probably be out for some time.

Roman, maybe because he's sick with a runny nose, decided that he didn't want to sleep today. Got 30 min. this morning, and barely 60 min. this afternoon. He was so tired, he screamed his poor little head off at Doug when he tried to put him down tonight. Reminded me of our second night in Moscow, where he yelled at us for 2 hours.

There's a woman on the international forums who is using the same agency we did to adopt. We've been "pm-ing" (sending private messages) off and on over the last couple weeks. I swore to myself I'd never get involved with people on the board, and now I am! Not that it's a bad thing. She's very interesting, has an interesting background. They are waiting for their referral now, and I think about her during the day - I wonder if she has her referral? Again, reminding me of our very recent excitement.

Also found out today that I am going to be the aunt of a little boy! My brother called, they had discovered the gender of their "bun in the oven." :) Funny, because a friend wrote today and said that SHE is going to be the aunt of a little boy. Crazy world.

Anyway, that's about all today. I get to speak with adults again tomorrow afternoon as part of the Social Studies Institute. Also have to take a benchmark knowledge test of American History. That's a little scary, since all I've been dealing with is diapers!
