Working on: 30 min. of Civ II before I pick up Roman
---------------------------------

Well, today was the first day I could call a vacation day from school. Although I've crunched some relaxing moments in, it's quite busy trying to balance upcoming gift-giving with a kid at home! And I stare at my scrapbook stuff longingly, hoping I can get to it soon....

While Roman is in daycare, this is what I do:

Monday got a haircut, finished major Xmas shopping. What I discovered is that it is a joyous feeling to get home, sort through mail, and put bags away and THEN go pick up Roman. He's quite demanding when we get home from daycare, wants to play immediately when I'm loaded down with things I need to do. Must reevaluate my "system" when school reconvenes.

Tuesday cleaned the house and did grocery shopping. Put last grocery away 5 minutes before I had to leave to pick Roman up. Learned that we somehow have a $34 credit at daycare. Doug and I did go out for dinner and a movie and our babysitter came over. We saw "National Treasure" and ate at Outback Steakhouse. Mmm.

Wednesday (today) it finally was all about me. I finished up shopping for a gift game this morning with Roman, and wrapped remaining Xmas presents this afternoon. Then I ate lunch, took a 45 minute nap, read my scrapping magazine, and am now going to play some Civ. before I go get Roman. However, there is a long, LONG list on the counter upstairs that Doug and I have to tackle before Friday to be ready for the weekend.

Next week, maybe scrapping? Roman will be in daycare as we learned that we would still have to pay for it even if he wasn't going (basically we haven't been enrolled 6 months yet to earn the "freebie weeks"). So also on the list is me making an evaluation appointment for some PT on my shoulders, a new (to us) kitchen sink to be installed, some closets cleaned out....
