Tonight (the evening of January 1, even though it probably says it's January 2) is the anniversary of Doug's and my first date, Jan. 1 1999 BCE. He arrived at my door an hour after the Michigan bowl game ended, and we went to Hunan Gardens for dinner. Then we saw "Prince of Egypt" at the movie theater. Then, we both wanted to keep talking, so we went to the basement of Waldo's bar and had a couple drinks while getting to know each other. Doug dropped me back off at my apartment, asked to see me again (which I agreed to, obviously), and drove the 2 hours back to his home. Wow. :) Who knew that we'd end up HERE only six short years later?!

And what is exactly HERE like? Here's an example of the silly things we do: we discovered that a channel on our digital cable, Noggin, plays "Sabrina, the Teenage Witch" in the evenings. We both love this show, call it our guilty pleasure. So for the past few weeks we've been watching it religiously, but disappointed because the last season wasn't being shown so we could never see the finale.

Until this past Wednesday... where we stupidly stayed up until 12:30am because the series finale was being shown at midnight, and we just HAD to see Sabrina's and Harvey's soul rocks fit together. I mean, come ON. Obviously we're meant for each other!

Hope everyone had a glowing New Year's Eve and can look forward to a happy 2005.
