Working on: Relaxing.
---------------------------------
Roman has been fighting putting on his pants lately. He tolerates his socks okay, but when you try to put his legs into the pants, he starts kicking and screaming. This morning he was almost to tears, he did NOT want to put on his blue corduroys. So I pulled out a pair of sweatpants and gave him his choice. Without hesitation, he chose the sweats. No fight, slipped them right on.

I began to think... most of his pants are "24 months." There is a definite different between 24 months and 2T, but don't ask me what it is. LEngthwise, 24M/2T are perfect. But we've noticed lately that 3T shirts are fitting over his toddler belly. Then it occurred to me - he has to lay down for us to snap his pants. His pants are probably way too tight! Which would also explain the slight cycle of constipation followed by big poops. Although I guess you didn't need to know that!

So we decided to go to Old Navy tonight to buy a couple pairs of 3T pants. Thinking we'd have to roll them up, but maybe the waists will fit. We haven't tried them on Roman, but when I held up the pair of khakis to him, our jaws dropped. Lengthwise, we'll have to roll them once. So apparently we have had yet another growth spurt... we'll see tomorrow how the waist fits.

I love Old Navy. There's nowhere else to buy cute clothes for boys. Sears and Target just have the basics, and we can't afford the Gymboree type outfits. We picked up a pair of army-green "beach" pants too, and a Hawaiian shirt for 6.99.
