So Iran has said they will not shut down their uranium conversion, and will "discuss" the enrichment program (the final step to making it usable for both energy and bombs).

The story here.

Many issues in this article.

One, Iran says "the behavior of Europe" depends on their future decisions. Oh, please. Try to threaten them. On the other hand, why not - they've been pretty big pansies lately.

Two, it was revealed (and largely ignored by the US press) that they had hidden parts of their nuclear program from UN inspectors. Gee, a country could do that? And be successful? But of course, Iraq would never think of this....

Three, Bush says "all options are on the table" and Germany gets all pansy-ish again, saying "a military option will never happen" blah blah blah. So there is Iran, rogue nation under the dictatorship of a president who played a role in the keeping of American hostages many years ago, who elects hard-liners to control most of the areas of government, restarting a nuclear program they had been told by the UN to shut down (and did so voluntary in order to talk with Europe), and who subtley threatens all of Europe. But no, we must never consider a military option. Especially when say, Israel would be their first target. And then Europe. I at least hope they target the French before Europe decides whether to use a "military option." Grrr.
