I don't have a problem with guns. Or Roman pretending to be shooting a gun. We are not the type to say "no weapons in the house" or whatever, because he's going to do it anyway. Just can't pretend to shoot people or animals. We expected this to occur pretty soon.

It happened for the second time today, as we were playing blocks. Roman grabbed a cylindrical block, pointed it at the plant, and yelled "Power Rangers! Psssht!" like he was shooting some laser. No big deal, but I absolutely HATE those #@$% Power Rangers. As best we can tell, he has learned about them from church nursery. Of all places. Along with shooting, they kick and punch, which is something we definitely don't want to encourage. You could argue they are doing karate or whatever, but you also don't see us enrolling Roman in karate class.

So the boyhood progresses into another phase, and the only influence we can make on this is "they are not nice friends" and he does know enough to know that's something we don't encourage.
