Cancelling Reservations for the Chef's Nightly Surprise

Maybe I shouldn't have started this blog now, not with everything that's been going on.

Because of the stargazings that I've had the past two nights (and tonight) I didn't have to meet my classes this morning, so I slept 9am. But when I got to school, the secretary said the faculty attendance checker called asking why I wasn't in my classrooms, and neither were my students. So it's either the paperwork got delayed in the mailroom, or the person doing the roving does not coordinate with the one at the desk.

For the past two days the sky has been cloudy at around noon, and sometimes drizzled, but it cleared up by the time we met. Last night, the first hour was plagued by some thick clouds, but luckily the westward high winds blew them towards the sea by the second hour. And to think my students then were in a rush having had tickets for a Stephen Speaks concert at 830pm, and did not want to reschedule the stargazing.

Today I've already had two students, one I met at McDonald's, the other who went here to the faculty room, who wanted to know if the attendance for the
stargazing is compulsary, that they had other commitments to attend. I said no, that I had two other stargazings for next week they could attend instead. I guess it's what I have to expect scheduling a stargazing on a Friday night.
