With Great Winter Comes Great Immaturity

Student "edition" found at {csi dot journalspace dot com}.

Maybe I shouldn't have started this blog now, not with everything that's been going on.

It's pathetic when, during our faculty meeting earlier (which discussed all of our holiday preparations) one faculty member insisted on a Kris Kringle program for us (besides the institution wide one), because he says he didn't receive anything last year.

Talk about being materialistically retentive. Maybe because having whole group participation like that is the only way that he'll get any gifts at all.

I don't even recall that there was a Kris Kringle for us last year.

Maybe he's talking about two years ago, when I picked his name, but since I would be out of town during that day, I told the college secretary to tell whoever drew my name to give to him instead.

Then he gave me a candle during our retreat TEN MONTHS LATER because he got a Protestant Bible when in his wish list he just said "bible".

Talk about holding a grudge long, and at the wrong person at that.

And up to this day I don't even know who drew my name and gave him that.

Now he wants to organize the new one, and his way at that, so there will be code names for the givers but not the receivers.

This, he said, is so that if the wish list is a shirt, it will not be possible to buy the wrong size - although it could easily be remedied by writing down the size in the wish list.

Well, it'll just be again so that whoever draws his name will dread it.

And to think, the two times the dean asked for a vote on it, no one else was raising their hand, it became just an administrative decision.

Session 1919 acts more like a child during this season. Class dismissed.
