A/P: A Lazy Student Unfortunately Up to the Same Old Tricks

Student "edition" found at {csi dot journalspace dot com}.

Maybe I shouldn't have started this blog now, not with everything that's been going on.

Some more Ephraim news: he was on time today for my Graphics One class, which just means it's going to be much longer before I give him a failure due to absences. Eight to be exact.

But he did submit his plate late, which is now his non-favorite analytical part about isometric and orthogonal views where different students are given different figures to work with and he can't copy.

In fact, he submitted his single plate at past 2pm, almost 5 hours since deadline.

In his robotics class, which was scheduled at 1120am, he arrived in the lab with a sandwich. The brother president, who had taken to heart the posters announcing their first robot demonstration and was there (unlike the former Executive Vice President and Dean - but that's a rant for another time) took him to task for that, and he had to step out.

That didn't prevent him from spewing brags later when, during the second half of the demonstration, he kept talking loudly about how smoothing their ball passing robot was performing.

When in fact our graduate-board-passer-turned-teacher was disappointed that for someone who had taken the subject before and had dragged his classmates through the training missions he said he already knew all about, had a very simplistic design.

And I saw that he was still making revisions on the demonstration table itself, again speaking about his lack of preparation.

I just told my student-turned-co-teacher about more precautions to take so that they will finish their work on time if not early, such as not allowing any more programming, recharging of batteries or adjustments to the robot on the day before the competition. Also there have to be strict rules as to how their robot will perform without human intervention.

Session 2231 will stop at two posts in two days about the same slacker student. Class dismissed.
