Maybe I shouldn't have started this blog now, not with everything that's been going on.

Last Halloween anecdote about a certain student. We left the faculty room last Friday at about 530pm, and when I got out of the computer area, I was surprised to see that he was still there.

Apparently, he was the one who had been playing with Sir Leland's pellet gun that hour or so that I had been hearing it, not one of the graduating students I was leaving with or their younger brother.

He said that he still had a class at 6pm, although when we went out to the corridor, there were no lights there anymore.

He still stayed in the hallway though. We went to a birthday party after, and there we met some of his classmates.

They were the ones who told us that their teacher had already mentioned during their most recent meeting that they would not meet on October 31. They all, including the discipline officer who stayed until 6pm that night, knew that this student has always been more concerned with copying what's on the board over listening to what the teacher has to say.

I'm still up in the air about using that "disrespectful to the teacher when not listening" line, but that has to be backed up with very minimal writing on the board, or no writing at all.

What I would not like to see happen is for him to blame is classmates about this for not telling him, if ever he complained on the matter to his mother or whoever picked him up that night.

I haven't seen him today, so I don't know what time he actually realized last Friday that they wouldn't have any class.

And, he was giving away candy that day since he said the trick or treat in their community didn't push through. As to why that is and if it had anything to do with his going overboard, we could only speculate.

Session 2429 will talk about the new month tomorrow I guess. Class dismissed.
