Event Looming in Three Weeks Again

Student "edition" found at {thoughts dot com slash typed no space out no space loud slash blog}.

Maybe I shouldn't have started this blog now, not with everything that's been going on.

There was another foundation week culmination day meeting today. I only found out about it when I finished my class, and I saw a text message from the secretary of the office of student affairs that the head of the committee, from the registrar's office, said that I could follow.

There were two people not in the meeting though, my counterpart from the high school and the former director for administration who now has another title but basically the same job.

Anyway, we were still able to finalize a lot of things. There will still be the outdoor science demonstration, for one.

The dance troupe, who I had thought would put up dances like those performed in Enchanted Kingdom, want to put up a Michael Jackson commemoration instead, which is fine by me.

So I guess they won't be joining the theater group in performing the puppet show or children's theater.

I hope the badminton tournament pushes through. There will be a lot of people who could help in that anyway, including the people from the office of sports development who only have the fun run at 6am to worry about. After the recent sports fest, this would be a breeze.

They also want to have the e-jeep over, since it turns out the country's first solar car has been dismantled to make mark two.

I just hope that e-jeep, whose electric power supply would go well with the theme, is available.

We also have someone who would look into the chance of having a Velcro trampoline area, as well as a zip line and a dunking booth, featuring professors as suggested by one of the directors.

I wonder how the most hated teacher in school would like it if it turned out the students are willing to pay a lot to dunk him and his long hair. That's the only worry of one of the teachers: that our booth will just appeal to college students and not all the fair goers.

I was also apprehensive that having the fair there for one day would turn off some of the booth sellers from joining, as they might have gotten used to at least a full weekend exposure.

The biggest news though is that the concert proposed by the college student council was declined.

This is because it has been a week and there was been no update, only now, when I told them of the decision.

So much for being coordinator; they don't coordinate their moves with me, except on signing forms.

Session 2713 also has annoyance with one student bugging me about buying tickets so that her sister, who is in another school would win in the popularity contest she joined. Class dismissed.
