Just A Lot of Suds

Student "edition" found at {thoughts dot com slash typed no space out no space loud slash blog}.

Maybe I shouldn't have started this blog now, not with everything that's been going on.

Just a short update to yesterday's post: apparently, it's not even all the rest rooms in the school that has been installed with the too-late not-for-the-college students soap dispensers.

At least there isn't one in the west wing fourth floor, unless it's not attached in order.

@@ I also got wind, from the meeting last Monday, of two discipline cases. One of them is of a parent of a college student against an integrated school teacher. This is after the college student was caught driving away from the scene of a hit and with the car of the teacher.

Apparently the parent and the student feel harassed by the teacher about paying for the damages.

The second one is the complaint of the self-same president of the parents of college students' organization against last year's college student president. In both cases, as far as I could tell, it's ego that's offended and needs to be stroked to calmness.

But in the second case, I get the impression from the president that he just wants it to die down, so he's just waiting for this now supposedly ex president to step out of the scene.

@@ There are times when I feel like I'm not being allowed to do my job. The students are in contact with an outside organization and it's the two of them who contact the president for permission to do things. What's annoying is that at the last minute, all of them expect the office of student affairs to pay for their expenses.

Well, it would be nice if it wasn't so eleventh hour, because what happens is that if there's no money left for these things, then I can't help them, and it's their fault for not informing us early enough.

That's why there are deadlines for submitting forms requesting for these reservations and fund disbursement.

Well, even when I do get to do my job and get approval for what I can let the students do, they still go beyond my back and just get back to me telling me that the brother president has approved this or that. Well, no offense to them but I'd still like to hear it from the brother himself. That's the way things are supposed to be done around here inform all.

@@ Besides that, there's also the sports commissioner who keeps delaying his job until the last minute.

He keeps using the office of sports development as an excuse, as well as the need to get the schedule for next term before he can finalize a schedule. First I need to see again from the evaluation of last year exactly how many people were satisfied with last year's sports fest.

This is because he keeps saying "that's how I did it last year" as if it's so great.

Session 2751 sees an exit that's very tempting to take at this juncture. Class dismissed.
