Something Immovable Doesn't Go Far

Student "edition" found at {thoughts dot com slash typed no space out no space loud slash blog}.

Maybe I shouldn't have started this blog now, not with everything that's been going on.

It is really obvious when someone is just looking for an excuse to get out of a required event.

I quote: Is this seminar that important that it will take us out of our primary task which is teaching?

Wow, imagine answering the dean in an email like that. If the dean were a man, it would trigger a more knee jerk response. Okay, I mean if I was on the receiving end of that missive.

Is obedience really not that much of a value nowadays? Well, it certainly does seem that way in religion.

Just because there is no lightning striking those who are going astray makes some people think that it is okay to just do what they want, and still follow the commandments when it suits them.

On my part, I would like to see at least some effort on the side of the administration to schedule these seminars at least on the weekend and out of town, and only resort to weekdays when there really is no other choice, as shown to all.

@@ We had the second meeting for the term of the joint guidance office, mission office and student affair office team.

Technically, it is our third meeting of the expanded team, with student welfare and the other brother, the brother who is not a president or an administrator, but is more than a teacher.

Curiously, no one called to the error in the minutes that we do not meet on the first and third Monday, but it seems on the second and fourth. And it was our second meeting in five days.

Too bad the student welfare officer was not there to talk about the possible disciplinary case to be filed against a student leader, although the statute of limitations seems to be running out.

By this I mean anytime now if the case does roll out, there will be questions as to why it was not filed immediately, which should have been at the end of the first term.

Also, again the conceptualization of our name had to be shelved, as it does not seem that there is a consensus among the suggestions: SWAT means has the words Team, Affairs, Welfare and Students, and not everyone likes the acronym for Formation Accompaniment Team.

At least, thankfully it was agreed that we will have a late lunch out for our next meeting.

For this meeting though, we were also stuck in campus because there was half a tray of food left over from the meeting in the board room of the office of the president earlier.

Session 2797 already sees there will be more meetings this term than last term, some self set. Class dismissed.
