Those Smug In Being Backed By Papers

Student "edition" found at {thoughts dot com slash typed no space out no space loud slash blog}.

Maybe I shouldn't have started this blog now, not with everything that's been going on.

Did I already mention about the foreign student who will also be given a five-day suspension for dress code violations?

She has been caught at least a dozen times, and has been summoned by the dean to write a commitment letter, which obviously was not sincere or it would not have reached this point.

As for the probation sanction for the second of two students on the case of possession of immoral material, three out of the four members of the board voted for probation.

Now I find out that there will be a clarification meeting this afternoon on that so-called sentence.

I wonder if they will decide that a two-day suspension, which is what I voted for even though I already knew the direction of the tide from the first three votes, is better.

After all, since the officer for student welfare was there and said that he will also vote for two days, if at least one of the other three changes their mind, there will be a tie and the officer will have broken the tie wit the vote going in favor of two days.

So much, therefore, for thinking the sanction recommendations will be given to the dean by early today.

By the way, the parents of the students with cases were there, but were not in the discussion room when the students were speaking, even though it was their right since the kids were minors.

Also, while we were discussing, the brother president interrupted to tell us that the students were there with their parents waiting outside like it was a surgery or something.

Maybe they were not given clear instructions that the sanction recommendations would be given to the dean and cannot relayed to them immediately after the meeting.

There was nothing we could do about it, but at that point it was like the president was our receptionist or secretary delivering a message for us since we could not leave the room.

Also, I had to caution the other members of the board against discussing the case outside our meetings.

We could not even approach the student who named the one he copied the video from to point to the originator to a member of the board outside the discussion room.

We could summon him as a witness afterwards, to point to a picture, but it all has to be documented.

At least on this Mr. Stickler to the Written Appointments agrees.

Session 2803 wonders if anything was left out. Class dismissed.
