Bear with me, I have felt sick lately so I am very, very grumpy --but this latest SHIT takes the cake and even my choco ice cream with it.....

I'm wondering how ones would feel --several authors have asked me to read and review their books. I have done so only to have the authors and their publishers use the blurbs and reviews or portions of my reviews on the covers of their books and in newsletters. A great honor, you'd say, right? And it is indeed. But NOT WHEN it does not credit *ME* with the blurbs or reviews.

Instead, because I just so happen to share my reviews with The Eternal Night, it is ETERNAL NIGHT that gets the credit NOT Brutal Dreamer. *grits teeth* Frankly, I spend hours reading their material per the author or publisher request, then time is spent writing up my thoughts on the book and choosing my words carefully so I can back them up if need be, only to have the authors and or publishers not even get the nod to those words my direction. The very words that *I* chose to say about *their* book.

It's rather frustrating. You see, I share my reviews with ETERNAL NIGHT. So, the authors or publishers just decide to give Eternal Night the credit INSTEAD OF ME. I understand --Eternal Night, ScienceFiction, Fantasy and Horror looks much more "professional" or "better than" a measily--Horror Author, Brutal Dreamer. But that is NOT who did the review and it is not fair that I don't even get a BLEEPING BLEEPING BLEEPING nod to my own freakin' words.

I have to tell you -I am finding this business more and more irritating and frustrating when I spend time only to get it shrugged off and credited to another place instead of ME. Am I wrong? If you say I am -screw you. LOL I'm never wrong, I'm Brutal F U C K I N G Dreamer and she is not wrong! *gigglescreams*

Why can't it be credited --Brutal Dreamer, Eternal Night, Science Fiction, Fantasy, and Horror Reviewer
if it is so important to make it look more "professional" or like they got a fucking ROLLING STONE review or rave or whatever you want to call it. Instead I get a kick in the teeth --at least let me know you kicked me dammit.

I am finding this biz to be a little less to my liking all the time. One of my blurbs is on the cover of a print book no less and I don't even get the F U C K I N G credit for my own words. *screams and cusses* That bleeping bites. I think I am not too happy today.... more coffee... much more coffee please.

Oh, while we are on this subject -why I am so hot under the collar about this topic is: A few weeks ago another book came out that I edited and I wasn't given the editing credit either.

I'm finding, publishers, authors, and markets ask BRUTAL DREAMER for her time and words and effort only to take it from her and then erase her name so easily from it all ...

A newsletter just went out last week also, a review I did for an author, and once again, it was ETERNAL NIGHT that received the credit to that review as well.

Yep, I'm going to start sending CONTRACTS out with my BLEEPING reviews or blurbs -how 'bout it? It's quite amazing....

[NOTE: So you know: I always put on the top of the review -the book title and author name and then I put (c)Reviewer, Brutal Dreamer or (2)2004 Brutal Dreamer, Reviewer]

or some such....

Example:

Time to Scare Gramma Outta Her Skin by Brutal Dreamer
(c)2004 Reviewed by Brutal Dreamer

book info is then below and purchase info

the review below that

But it is KNOWN it is a BRUTAL DREAMER review.
