So, I got my mail yesterday, and I had an envelope from Moorpark College. I already had my confirmation of my schedule, and it wasn't from the professor I work for, or the office that pays me. So I opened it up, curious to see what they had sent me.

I made the Dean's List.

That's a new one for me. It's kind of neat. But it's funny, because even a year ago, I probably would have been flipping out over this. Now, I'm just sort of pleased, and a little amused by it. Somewhere in the course of the past year, I realized that this was entirely about me, and what I wanted for myself, and I stopped needing external recognition. So while this is nice, I didn't need it anymore.

So it's actually nice in another way, too, I guess.
