So, it's closing in on 6 AM, and I'm awake for no good reason. As good a time as any to update, right? The last week has been a fairly busy one, with ups and downs.

Started off with the Springsteen concert on Sunday, which was a blast. As always, Bruce rocked the house, and the energy that he and the E Street Band had going was about the best I've ever seen from them. I owe Pita bigtime for this one. She had a good time too, which also made me very happy. Unfortunately, Sunday had to end, and Monday meant the funeral for my friend's mom. I really didn't want to go, in part because it had been so long since I'd seen either Alex or his mom that I didn't even know what Alex looked like anymore. I also managed to mishear what time the service started, so mom and I were about 10 minutes late. We caught a good deal of the service, and we were there for the burial, so we still got to say goodbye. I saw a lot of teachers and staffers from my old elementary school, and we did a little catching up at the reception afterwards, which was nice.

The rest of the week was mostly work, which is taxing, but at the same time desperately boring. At least there was a D&D session at Rob and Jen's place on Friday night. Everybody seemed to be fairly tired going into it, but we still had fun, and we got to play, which in and of itself is always a minor victory.

Pita and I are planning on going to Disneyland on Wednesday, since it looks like that is probably the only time we can expect to have a day off together in the forseeable future.
