2003-11-08 11:54 PM Pez!! Previous Entry :: Next Entry Mood: Content Read/Post Comments (1) No, Pez means nothing. The Food Channel is on in the background, and they are talking about Pez. I just figured it was high past time I posted again. Things have been ok here. My personal life is moving along swimmingly! Things between me and Pita are great, and things around the house, while still annoying, are not as bad. I've been able to get some time in with friends, including some quality gaming time, which I always relish. And I've picked up the necessary ingredients, including a new router, for getting my X-box online. Work, however, still sucks ass. I have decided that I will tough it out until the new year, for teh simple reason that I know I can have New Year's Eve off if I stay, and that would not be gauranteed anywhere else. Lisa has shoved her head so far up her ass as far as doing the orrders for the store goes that all four of us, including the new girl, have been talking about it. We're going to try to talk to her about it this week, but somehow I doubt it will go well. The other big thing that happened was the outbreak of fires we had two weeks ago. Fire is always a frightening prospect down here. There is always the chance that things can get out control, especially when you live in a drought-prone area. But the fires we had down here were the first time in my life that I seriously thought we might lose the house. We were actually packing up the house, and prepping the cars for evactuation if necessary. If the firefighters had not stopped the fire where they did, about 2 or 3 miles from the house, there were experts from L.A. Fire and the U.S. Forestry Service saying that the fire could have burned from Chatsworth all the way south to Malibu. Not a fun thought. Fortunately, that didn't happen, and, at least on this side of the city, we got lucky. Tomorrow, I head down to San Diego again with my dad (and Pita!) so he can give his weekly lecture at UCSD. As much as I love spending time in San Diego with my sweetie, it's a very tiring couple of days for me. We drive down, spend the night, I get woken up early to take dad to campus, and then I have to drive back to L.A. after the lecture's done. I drop dad and Pita off, and head immediately to work, until 9 PM. Ugh. Anyway, that's the update, any seeking more detailed information are invited to ask away. And those of you who know the number, give me a call! I'd love to hear from you :) Read/Post Comments (1) Previous Entry :: Next Entry Back to Top |
