This is my first post from my new home. After nearly a month, and the purchase of an external modem, I finally have my computer back online. I'm dialed in to AOL, because MSN won't seem to let me connect for some reason (I have to call them, because I'd rather connect through them than AOL, since my dad uses the AOL account too, and I don't want either of us to get bounced offline).

Unfortunately, I'm fighting off insomnia tonight. So, I'm sitting here, farting around online, while Pita sleeps. Wish I could. *sigh* The cats are asleep behind me (never thought I'd be saying that!), and other than the hum of the computer and the clack of the keys, there are no other sounds in the apartment.

So, coming up on the end of our first month in the apartment, I have to say that things seem to be working. We're not entirely sure yet, because, among other things, not all of our bills have really hit us yet, and we don't have a real idea of our food consumption. My dad keeps taking us out or buying us stuff, which is nice, but makes it hard to figure out how much of our groceries we're eating, and what our food budget needs to be realistically.

Anyway, thought I'd make a real post, since I was up anyway.
