I sat down and pounded out (well, actually made minor revisions to, and inserted proper formatting) three groups of work.

I sent two poems to On Spec; a short, short story to LCRW; and an experimental piece to F+SF. It felt good to work again, delighting in the play of words and inserting messages to my 3rd grade teacher.

In the next day or so, I'm going to send a totally revised and reworked "Thule Death Transformative" to sci-fi.com. I grudingly cut down on the sex and violence, put everything in the very conventional past tense, and kept the inside jokes to a bare minimum. There might even be a plot...

It feels good to compromise my principles, but the publishing world had been none-too-appreciative of my previous efforts. Time for a new, less-harsh approach.
