most intrepid

I had whining, crying, moaning Rose on my lap clutching me while I alternated between feeding David and myself breakfast. Every time I paused to feed myself, David screamed. (There was actually not much wrong with Rose just post holiday let down and not enough protein for breakfast.)

cutest

I grabbed a book and pulled David into my lap for a pre-naptime story. He squirmed down. He crawled over to the bookcase and came back clutching his favorite book, Peek-a-who? and grinning.

most annoying

any bedtime or naptime. Our routine seems to be shot, so we have no flow, no guarantee of success. The process can last anywhere from 20 minutes to 2 hours. Pick from the following items in a seemingly random order:

1. nurse.
2. stop nursing to squirm and scream.
3. play happily in the bath.
4. stand in the bathtub screaming.
5. read a book.
6. slam the book shut and throw it on the floor.
7. clutch lion.
8. nurse a really long time.
9. bouncy/singing with Daddy.
10. watch the music box attached to the crib.
11. stand in the crib screaming.
12. Tylenol.
13. clutch the Tylenol bottle.
14. pat pat shh baby.

most fun

Rose and I played red light/green light in the upstairs hall. No matter what role she was in—runner, caller, winner, loser—her eyes shone, and she grinned and giggled. I particularly liked her freeze position for red light. David crawled around us and did not get stepped on.
