Well, he looks sort of like an upright gorilla on a listing ship, but David is definitely moving.

He still doesn't understand (or refuses to accept) "Wait, I'll be right back." So, the minute I leave to grab his diaper bag, I hear toddle, whine, crash, toddle. There he is grabbing for my knees, just when I was ready to head back and attend to that dirty diaper.

We do better walking together. We've taken a couple cruises up and down the sidewalk in his sister's old shoes. Delicious, especially when covered with sand.

The toddling hasn't added to the danger level in our household; it's the climbing. David loves to stand in the dishwasher, from which he can reach the peppermill, glass plates, and seriously sharp knives. He did a very impressive backflip after climbing into the rocking chair, luckily onto the soft carpet. The stepstool, while necessary for reaching my oatmeal, is a menace in the kitchen because if he's not climbing up it, he's pulling it over onto his head.

Now that the weather has finally loosened up (and I know for many of my readers it has not), I'm trying to hit the park as much as possible. Taste the sky from the swings, eat the bark, climb, and toddle to his heart's content.
