David's vocab

I'm struggling with David's language development. I know it's perfectly normal. I know he'll talk just fine, eventually. But, it's frustrating both of us. And, his sister was a verbal wunderkind which set an unnaturally high bar.

I was handling my discomfort by making jokes and resigning myself to life with his two words: eat and nurse.

And then yesterday, he signed "more." He really did, a couple times.

It just reminded me how I tend to get stuck. My kid is this way, I can deal with it, I'll work around it, and then I almost don't notice when they change.
