David and I have been digging in. We got out the big yellow shovel (thanks Grammy and Grandpa Joe), a couple of buckets, another shovel and sifter (thanks Grammy and Grandpa Joe), and its off to the sandbox we go.

We hit the jazzercize playground sandbox after the rain. That made for good sandcastle material.

The children’s museum had a special two-year-old’s only sandbox set up in the activity room. They had sifters and combs.

The big girls go to swim class and I chase David and Ariana around the park turned into I sit on the bench and watch while Ariana and David work on sharing the watering cans and shovels. The best Tuesday afternoon I’ve had in ages.

Back to the jazzercize sand. This time I invited a child to join us which David did not appreciate. Sharing was much harder this round. Still we managed.

Now that’s it warmed up a little, we’ve got a lot of castles to build.
