My children have not been particularly adorable recently. There has been a lot of whining, fighting, and freaking. So forgive me if I bask in their adorableness today.

John and I were hanging out downstairs when suddenly Superwoman and Superman burst into the room. Superwoman had an airplane sleeping mask with eyeholes cut out (my friend Jeff's idea) and a pink fuzzy blanket for a cape. Superman wore blue sunglasses and a frog blanket cape. Superwomen stood with her chest pushed out, arms akimbo.

"Can we help? We're superheros!"

Turns out superheros are very social and have pleasant dispositions, and they are also well behaved and independent. We went to visit a few neighbors. I was still outside chatting when I realized the superheros had not only gone inside, they had shed their costumes on the way to the bath that David and Rose had refused. They peed on the potty, got in the bath, got their hair washed, and got out of the bath, all in vast cheerfulness. I invite superheros to my house any day.
