Mommy: David don't do that!
David: It's raining.
Rose, completely nonplussed, draws rain onto her picture.

Mommy: We are making lunch now.
David (whining): No, you are not! You are not!
Mommy: John, did he just say are not? Doesn't he usually say 'isn't'? That's so cool.

Mommy: David, how does your tummy feel?
David: Mad.
