Rose: "Mom! I have nothing to wear!"
Debby: "I'm in the bathroom. Your clothes are in the dryer. Go downstairs and get them."
And she did.

David had picked out at absolutely atrocious looking book at the library, Franny K. Stein and the 50 foot Cupid. It was a chapter book, and I tried to convince him it was really for older kids. I did not want to read it to him over the dinner table or otherwise. But Rose did. She read him the entire book. For forty-five minutes she read to David, and I had an uninterrupted phone call with Nancy.

I was rounding up stuff to go to the park and when I finally walked out the door, there were Rose and David on the sidewalk, bicycles in hand. To accomplish this, Rose first carried David's bike down the two flights of front steps. Then she turned the annoyingly hard to turn handle on the garage door, hauled the big door up, got her bike out, got the big door down, and got her bike out from next to the car without scratching anything. Strong girl.

Rose: I can recognize two singers--Dan Zanes and Pete Seeger.
