The spray bottle became a dragon.
The eraser sounded like maracas.
The shell brought information from the sea.

K's mom came up to me at the school book fair and said K had spent all last night's bath telling her what he saw with his poet's eye. He asked her what she saw.

I told J's mom how wonderful J's poetry was. She told me J. usually didn't like writing.

The aide that helps the kids with learning disabilities said poetry was a gift for them. They struggle so much with other types of writing. This one they can be successful at.

All these kids now know they are poets. And I hope they will know if for their whole lives.
