Geode

I look at the dull outside of this big round rock in my hands
Suddenly!
I feel it slipping!
Wham!
It hits the ground.
A crack spreads through the middle of it,
and there
before my eyes
is a twinkling piece of night sky,
purplish-blue twilight.
There are big twinkling stars
and also
little shiny stars.
Then suddenly. . .
it changes!
A mine appears
seven dwarfs are there
chipping away at twinkling translucent diamonds,
shining emeralds,
glowing rubies
and then finally
they dig out
gleaming pearls that shine like the stars in the night sky.
