good moments with Rose today

Rose is not sick and not particularly grumpy and not particularly hard today, but there's no reason not to notice all the good moments with her.

On the way to Sunday School, we listened to Mark Binder tell stories about Chelm. Rose laughed and gasped. At one point, David said, "The rabbi wins the dreidal spin." And Rose did not say, "Don't tell me that David!" She just listened and enjoyed.

Being a third grader, Rose is allowed to go to her classroom by herself and meet me at David's room afterwards. She does it so smoothly I forget to realize how mature and responsible she is being.

The minute we got home from Sunday School, Rose wrote down all the script letters she had learned and showed me.

I was having a bad day and was trying to have a phone conversation with Nancy while John took David shopping. Rose came into my room to ask me something and I said, in the not the nicest voice in the world, that was I off duty. She did not get mad.

She happily wrapped all the presents Grammy and Grandpa Joe had sent to Daddy, adding lots of ribbons and bows.

She set the table, helped clean up, took a shower, and did not fight with David over who was going to bring Daddy his birthday presents.
