I was going to write about all the fun we had on our first snow day in 2 years--the snow balls, the pink snow overalls that I bought at Value Village in August and that Rose is loving, the art projects we did. But all I can think about are my friend and her six year old daughter who came to visit and then tried to drive home--five hours ago. They are still stuck on the road. They have a phone. I'm presuming they have gas. I know they have emergency supplies because I gave them a pack a couple years ago, but I've been stuck over night in a blizzard, and it is not fun.

Ok, she didn't make it home, after 6 hours, but thanks to John's navigating, she is safe in a hotel.
