Valentine's Day bonanza

We really like holidays in our house. We started making our valentines in the middle of January. We've been cutting, coloring, gluing, and stamping every since. I got nervous because Rose had 31 to make for her classmates, plus her teachers and relatives. She was working until the last minute, but they are works of art.

David had a similar number to do, and I knew we were in trouble when he took an hour to make two and then ran out of energy. So, he and I cheated. We went to the store and bought a box of Star War valentines. He carefully wrote his name on all of them and that, at least for his classmates, was that. We were both very pleased with the process. Rose didn't think it was fair. Isn't she at the age where fair is everything? She's been somewhat mollified as he made four hand-made cards for her. That boy adores his sister.

I sent out a lovely picture of the kids. (I hope you got one.) And John and I dressed up and went dancing. Which is not really unique for Valentine's Day, but I wore a red dress.
