Rose and David playing together

I often write about how much Rose and David bicker. Or maybe I don't write about it because I am trying to focus on the positive, but we do have a pattern where David wants lots of attention from Rose and Rose wants to read her book. This results in David nagging, grabbing, and hitting; Rose whining, slamming doors, and yelling. Whoohoo.

But, I've noticed recently some lovely playing together, and I want to highlight that.

At drama camp, Rose learned the game where you tell a story by each person saying a word. Like--Rose: Once, David: a, Rose: giant. . . They played this game through two car rides totally cracking each other up. They did not yell at each other for messing up or picking a word they didn't want.

They played a make believe game that involved dress up clothes and rearranging all the furniture in the living room.

They played a code game that involved writing messages to each other on white boards and passing them back and forth.

We all played board games with minimal issues about making up new rules/cheating.

The three of us go swimming together every afternoon. We haven't had any other friends with us recently, so Rose has been playing with David. She rocks him like a baby, which he adores. She takes turns diving with him for sinking toys. The two of them dive down at the deep end together.
