David has not passed the swim test yet. I think he's got the skills and stamina; he just doesn't have the confidence. However, he can swim. He takes long strokes and no longer smacks the water. He does side breathing. He kicks with straight legs. His back stroke is strong if a bit cattywampus. He can dive off the side no problem and off the blocks with great verve and bit of a belly smack. He's got a fierce cannonball. He took 24 lessons this summer and gave them all his full attention and energy. He should be very proud of himself.
