My children like rhubarb. Let me rephrase that, when mixed with strawberries and made into PIE, my children clamor for rhubarb. Pie day! It's pie day! You thought our family didn't have enough holidays what with being Jewish Americans (this week alone Purim and Saint Patrick's Day), but now any math joke is a chance to celebrate. This holiday has taken off with the my math friendly facebook friends, and there were pie day celebrations at two of the local middle schools, ours included. I made blueberry pie for my book group, and John made the aforementioned strawberry rhubarb pie for the family. Let me rephrase that, I made the blueberry filling, John did all crusts, and though typically gluten free crumbly, they were divine.
