Oh happy day! I get to teach poetry to first through third graders who love to learn poetry, who are so happy to see me they run up and hug me, who cannot wait to try any technique I throw their way, who are focused and organized and diligent (in great thanks to their teacher), and who are infused with joy.

Oh, and their poetry is miraculous. They just aren't afraid to be silly or boring or cliched or crazy. They just try.
