The problem with letting David read Harry Potter Six is he reads Harry Potter Six. Non-stop. In the bathroom, in the car, before dinner, after dinner, all morning in his pajamas, all afternoon in his pajamas.

All reading and no exercise makes David a very grumpy boy. Plus, there's the immersing oneself in another world and resenting this one problem. I have done this my whole life, so I empathize, but when I am the other world and am asking him to put his shoes on and get in the car and he snaps at me, empathy, not so much.

Plus, there's the bad things happening in the other world that make you sad and grumpy in this world. Totally understand. I just finished The Book Thief, which takes place in Nazi Germany, and I was grumpy company. My mom said, David is moodier than Rose these days. What's going on? I said, he's reading.

The good news: he finished the book.

The bad news: he's restarting the series.
