Return to Texas

We are home! We had a very nice trip to California. I got to spend a good amount of time with my adorable niece. She is SO CUTE! And already enamored of warcraft, good girl. And I also got to see my sister, Ken, and Mom. Highlights of the trip were:
-shopping with Mom for Kelley's xmas gifts.
-Disneyland and California Adventure.
-Going on the WB lot to Shelleys office and seeing the Harry Potter exhibit, which Jade loved.
-Shelley's cooking. Yum.
-TURKEY DINNER and a LOT of WOW. It was really great to play with everyone in the same room. Kenny and Jenn are great company, and lots of fun. (Tandwyn hit level 55!!!)
-Jade playing with the cat and throwing the ball for the dogs. Very cute. Kitty Earl is the best cat ever, he put up with a lot!
-Jade feeding Kelley her bottle. She was very good with Kelley, gentle and giving lots of kisses.

Lowlight - Jade being a bit too saucy. I was really hoping she would make a better impression. And I feel a little bit like a bad parent because she had some rather bad moments. Paul thinks she did fine though, so it may just be me having high expectations for a two year old. However, she did do very well on the flights, she slept both ways. On the landing, she was very excited, oohhing and ahhing. Very cute. Considering that we got stuck on the runway at Burbank and DFW on the return flight, I am very impressed. (I think we were nearly 2 hours late getting in last night.)

Getting up this morning to go to work was...well...early.

And now I am off to put away the dishes and do some laundry!
