So what does one do in August in Texas? Go ice skating of course!

We were at the mall, had lunch and on our way to see the Clone Wars. Hadn't actually bought tickets. Walked past the indoor skating rink. Jade says "oh, I want to do that!" The timing was perfect, the public skating had just started. So off we went! This is Jade's very first time on the ice. All three of us got skates and wobbled our way around the rink, for nearly 2 hours. Jade did great. Wobbly of course, but she had the movements correct, and did try to do it by herself quite a few times. I wish I had pictures, but we were all skating, and I am definately not able to snap pictures, skate, and hold Jade all at the same time!! So we had fun, and Jade says she wants to go again. I foresee skating lessons in the future...

And yes, we did make it to the movie after skating. I know, the reviews were beyond terrible, but Jade really wanted to see it, and she liked it. I thought it was ok, after seeing the online animated stuff, I was not overly surprised at the movie.

Then I took Paul to a new homestyle restaurant for dinner. Its called Babes, and they have a very small menu, but very tasty. I think they will do well.

A very eventful day, especially since we started out with no plans at all!
