Today is the last day that the outdoor swimming pool is open. So Jade and I went out for 3 hours and enjoyed our last day. And for whatever reason, she got it. The last day of the season, and she got it. She was swimming and all the parts came together, the hands were going, the legs were kicking and she was off. So we spent the entire 3 hours in the deep pool swimming laps. She had so much fun. And I am so proud of her. The big smile on her face every time she reached the side of the pool all by herself was just the best feeling ever. She had been going a few feet by herself before, but today she was able to go a much longer distance. I kept backing up to see how far she would go, and if it hadn't been so crowded, I bet she could have made it across the pool. So summer is basically over, and I think we can say we had a lot of fun.

I do have to say that I think its really weird that the pool closes this weekend, but the hot weather will be here for another 2 months...welcome to texas...
